'Our Mission Is Only Eliminating' - How The Sudanese Vicious Fighting Force Perpetrated a Massacre

Alert: This Story Includes Graphic Accounts of Killings.

Fighters smirk as they ride on the rear of a transport truck, racing by a row of multiple corpses and moving towards the descending Sudan's evening sky.

"Observe all this work. Observe this instance of mass destruction," one shouts.

The fighter smiles as he directs the recording device on his person and his associate combatants, their Rapid Support Forces badges visible: "These people are all going to die like this."

The combatants are rejoicing over a atrocity that aid workers suspect claimed the lives of over thousands of civilians in the Sudan's metropolis of the Darfur city during October.

A City Cut Off from the Globe

Following their control of the urban area under encirclement for nearly an extended period, from late summer the RSF moved to strengthen its control and restrict the remaining residents.

Space-based imagery show that troops commenced to construct a enormous berm - a built-up sand barrier - surrounding the boundaries of al-Fashir, blocking entry points and preventing aid.

While the blockade intensified, multiple civilians were slain in an militia attack on a religious building on 19 September, while the United Nations reported dozens further were killed in drone and heavy weapon strikes on a displacement camp in fall.

Disturbing Footage Shows Defenseless Individuals Executed

At dawn on late October the paramilitary force conquered the remaining government defenses and captured the main base in the urban area, the command center of the Army Division, as the military withdrew.

One of the most horrific videos to emerge and studied showed the consequences of a mass killing at a educational facility on the western of the urban area, where numerous lifeless forms were visible scattered throughout the floor.

An elderly man wearing a robe was seated alone amongst the bodies. The individual turned to glance as a militiaman carrying with a firearm proceeded descending the stairs in the direction of the individual. Raising his rifle, the shooter fired a one shot at the man, who collapsed to the surface lifeless.

"Why is this individual yet alive," a militiaman cried. "Shoot him."

Satellite images taken on 26 October seemed to substantiate that shootings were also performed on the roads of al-Fashir, as reported by a report issued by the academic research center.

One eyewitness who provided testimony stated the individual had seen "numerous of our kin getting executed - they were collected in a specific area and all eliminated."

Paramilitary Commanders Try to Implement Damage Control

During the period that came after the killings, militia chief conceded that his fighters had committed "atrocities" and stated the occurrences would be looked into.

Part of the detained was subsequent to a investigation documenting his killings. Meticulously choreographed and edited recording published on the paramilitary's official social media account depict him being led into a cell at a detention facility on the outskirts of al-Fashir.

Meanwhile, the paramilitary force and connected social media accounts began seeking to reframe the account.

Content presenting its combatants providing aid to residents were disseminated by several users, while the militia's media office published multiple videos claiming to display the compassionate management of government prisoners of war.

Despite the social media campaign being deployed by the RSF, their conduct in el-Fasher have sparked global condemnation.
